brown sugar smokies

1 lb bacon
16 oz little smokie sausages
1 package
1 cup brown sugar
or to taste
cookware
  • wooden skewers (4 each, soaked for at least 1 hour)
  • baking sheet
I like this recipe because of the combination of sweet and salty flavors. I made it for a party once and they were a hit!

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each strip around a little sausage. Place the wrapped sausages on wooden skewers, several to a skewer.

Arrange the skewers on a baking sheet and sprinkle them liberally with brown sugar.

Bake until bacon is crisp and the brown sugar is melted.
