lavash pizza margherita

ingredients
all
1 whole lavash
1/3 cup pizza sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese
shredded, loosely packed
1 whole tomato
about 10 thin slices
basil
a few leaves

This is a basic pizza that we often make when we need something quick and easy. We usually store our lavash in the freezer, and we usually have most of the other ingredients on hand.

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Tear off a piece of parchment paper slightly larger than the lavash. Rest the lavash on it.

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the lavash.

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza sauce.

Spread out tomatoes on top of the cheese.

Set the lavash and parchment paper directly on the rack. Bake the pizza for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and browned a little bit.

Slice the basil while the pizza is cooking in the oven.

Pull the pizza out of the oven. Cool the pizza for 2-3 minutes so that the hot cheese doesn't burn the top of your mouth. Cut the pizza into pieces and sprinkle the basil over it. Enjoy!

We like to use thin slices of tomato for this recipe so that the tomato roasts quickly in the oven, concentrating its flavors.
