chiffon cake

ingredients
all
2 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
7 whole eggs
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp lemon zest
1/2 tsp cream of tartar

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Separate the egg yolks, reserve the egg white.

Beat the water, egg yolks, oil, vanilla, and lemon zest.

Whip the egg whites with the cream of tartar to stiff peaks.

Pour the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites and combine. Then pour into an ungreased pan.

Bake at 325°F for 55 minutes. Then bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
